On August 19th, I went to see Linkin Park live at Nikon Theater at Jones Beach. They have been my favorite band for over a decade and this is the first time I’ve seen them live. I must say, they really know how to put on a show. Their light show was also amazing. The concert was 5 nights ago and I still feel hyped and I can’t wait to go back and see them live again whenever I get the chance.
They finished the concert with the song “Bleed it Out” – released in the album “Minutes to Midnight” back in 2007, one of my favorites. The end of the event actually finished with Chester Bennington accepting Mike Shinoda’s ice bucket challenge for ALS awareness and challenging everyone from 30 seconds to Mars and AFI.
Below is a gallery of just a few pictures that I took during the concert. I recorded a lot of their songs, but I won’t be uploading those because you can hear me sing in the background and I am NOT a singer. I took many more pictures, most of them blurry because I either used my phone or my Canon point-and-shoot camera (not my Canon DSLR).
30 Seconds to Mars also performed. Jared Leto and the rest of the band put on a great show as well. He’s very funny and near the end, he turned the show into a pretty good comedy performance with their music. This is a band that I really want to see again. I’ve been listening to a lot of their music
AFI was the opening band. They also did great and I think this band has a lot of potential and I would like to see them live again as well.
If you were at the event, feel free to share your pictures! I’d love to see them.
